Abstract
These overlays show the availability of land within each quadrangle for mineral exploration and development as of July 1, 1985. As many as 15 land subclassifications may be depicted on each quadrangle, showing open land, land open with restrictions, private lands, and land closed to mining. An adjoining table is keyed to the deposit numbers. The deposit number identify one or more mineral deposits within a 3-mile radius. The table shows the MAS sequence number (an identification number related to a Bureau file), major commodities associated with the deposit, and an indicator of past production.
