Supplemental Information

The primary file of this data distribution package is a shapefile which shows the extent of the November 9, 2011 flooding in Golovin, AK. The DGGS metadata standard extends the FGDC standard to include elements that are required to facilitate our internal data management. These elements, referred to as "layers," group and describe files that have intrinsic logical or topological relationships. Attribute information for the layers is included in this metadata file under the "Entity_and_Attribute_Information" section. The layers are titled:
 >flood-extent-golovin-ak-11-09-12: Golovin, Alaska, November 2012 flood extent
 >border: outline shape of the study area
