Activity by Year

Year Activity Status Operator Project Name Description
2016 Exploration Exploration Project GraphiteOneResources Graphite Creek is an advanced-stage exploration project progressing towards the evaluation phase. In 2016 the company conducted a comprehensive product-development program. Although Graphite One Resources did not conduct any exploration work during 2016, they continued environmental baseline studies and plan to release Graphite Creek?s inaugural PEA, including a refined resource estimate, in February 2017.
2017 Exploration Exploration Project GraphiteOneResources Following a comprehensive product-development program in 2016, in February 2017 Graphite One released their inaugural preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for development of a graphite manufacturing project for Graphite Creek; it was amended in June 2017. Approximately 1,122,000 tons of graphite-bearing material are projected to be mined per year, with extraction and recovery of 66,000 tons per year of concentrate grading 95 percent Cg..
2018 Exploration Exploration Project GraphiteOneResources In 2018 Graphite One completed its fifth season of exploration and fourth season of drilling on their Graphite Creek project, including infill drilling of 2,628 feet of HQ core in six holes. Graphite One also conducted field-engineering studies and lidar surveys to evaluate alternatives for connecting the project to the existing state-maintained road system. In addition, they undertook environmental studies, and provided tours and project updates to neighboring communities.
2019 Exploration Exploration Project GraphiteOneResources The advanced-exploration stage Graphite Creek project, located 34 miles north of Nome, hosts the United States? largest large-flake graphite deposit. Owner Graphite One Inc. continued the evaluation of the project during 2019, initiating work on a pre-feasibility study. In support of this study, the company announced an upgraded minerals resource for the project in March 2019 (Appendix D). On-site worked continued, including a small program in support of engineering, mine-design, and environmental work. Product research and development also progressed, with the company announced that material from the Graphite Creek deposit was being tested by a major U.S. multinational electric vehicle manufacturer.
