Debris flow

A moving mass of rock fragments, soil, and mud, more than half of the particles being larger than sand size. Slow debris flows may move less than 1 m per year; rapid ones reach 160 km per hour. Debris flows are very fluid and contain a high content of water. (Neuendorf, K.K.E. and others, 2011)
