Projects and/or Research Interests

My position with the Energy Resources section of DGGS involves preparing mapping resources using ArcGIS for the summer field season and assisting with field data collection and processing. I will join the team on the North Slope this summer where I will assist with mapping and field logistics.

I am finishing up my Master of Science (Geoscience) at the University of Arizona where I am a part of the structural geophysics lab. My thesis work focuses on numerical modeling of crustal extension using the Discrete Element Method (DEM) to characterize mechanical conditions for normal fault emergence in passive margin environments. In addition to my thesis work, I contributed to a large research collaboration focused on analyzing the temporal evolution and spatial variability of the Catalina-Rincon (Southern Arizona) metamorphic core complex fault zone.
