• Description:

  The proposed FFY2025 Tolovana field-geologic mapping project will build on ongoing USGS and DGGS collaborative efforts to upgrade geologic data in the Yukon Tanana Upland. The primary objectives are to complete modern 1:100,000-scale geologic mapping, geochemistry, and geochronology in parts of the Circle, Livengood, and Tanana quadrangles, as well as small parts of the Fairbanks and Kantishna River quadrangles. The Mineral Resource section is planning 10 weeks of helicopter field work in 2026 based out of the Manley Hot Springs area and Poker Flats.
