Description:
The proposed FFY2025 Tolovana field-geologic mapping project will build on ongoing USGS and DGGS collaborative efforts to upgrade geologic data in the Yukon Tanana Uplands. The primary objectives are to complete modern 1:100,000-scale geologic mapping, geochemistry, and geochronology in parts of the Circle, Livengood, and Tanana quadrangles, as well as small parts of the Fairbanks and Kantishna River quadrangles.
