The DGGS geophysics program is responsible for the collection, distribution, and promotion of geophysical data to support Alaska's resource exploration, transportation, and environmental stakeholders. DGGS hosts a wide variety of digital geophysical data for download and/or special order.
For mineral explorers and other stake holders, DGGS has high-quality airborne magnetic, electromagnetic, and radiometric data covering more than 30,000 square miles.
Modern airborne magnetic, electromagnetic, and radiometric data coverage as of 2019
The Seismic Exploration Tax Credit Program 2D and 3D seismic data and borehole data are an excellent resource for hydrocarbon exploration. These data are distributed by the Geologic Materials Center. Currently there are over 20 seismic surveys and more than 90 wells available. Additional seismic and borehole data will become available in the future.
