DGGS staff taking baseline measurements of erosion fronting the old Alakanuk Tribal Building.
In July 2021, DGGS travelled to Alakanuk to collect baseline data and install a time-lapse camera to monitor erosion at the Alakanuk Slough Bend. DGGS worked with the Alakanuk Village IGAP program to install the camera and take baseline measurements.
This work was funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs Tribal Resilience Program through a collaborative project with the Alakanuk Village.
